Week of June 1-5 From the Classroom In literacy, we have been reviewing vowel teams and other letter team patterns to help support reading and spelling. We have also continued practicing our spelling heart words and working on recognizing these words automatically in our reading and writing. Students have been busy writing about Daisy and Lily's adventures and using their creativity to add details to their stories. We have also continued our animal research projects as students learn new facts and organize information about their chosen animals. In math, we have been reviewing addition and subtraction within 20. Students have been practicing different strategies to solve problems and explain their thinking. We have also been reviewing number sequencing and working on problem-solving skills through a variety of activities and games.
